Comprised of traditional Republicans, the NFRA is an independent grassroots organization, dedicated to working within the framework of the Republican Party, to promote the active participation of our members toward the endorsement, support, and election, of principled conservative Republican candidates. The NFRA serves as the umbrella organization for semi-autonomous Republican Assemblies ® in each state. Working to unite all conservatives, both economic and social, whose interests range from tax cuts and reform to national defense, from Pro-Life to education concerns, from Second Amendment to national sovereignty, to advance traditional conservative Republican values. Our primary goal is to ensure that the Republican Party does not turn away from the core values and conservative principles championed by President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

There are six national regions of the NFRA, each overseen by a regional vice president. At present, there are nine states within the Northeast Region of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. At this time, there are active Republican Assemblies ® in six of these nine states.

The current Vice President of the Northeast Region of the NFRA is William Ricci, Jr., from Rhode Island. Mr. Ricci was elected to that position in August 2003, during the Biennial Convention of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which was held in Burbank, California. Mr. Ricci is also an active charter member of the Rhode Island Republican Assembly. He is a Delegate to the Rhode Island Republican State Central Committee, and is also the Treasurer of the East Providence Republican Party. He was re-elected to serve another two-year term in September 2005.
