RHODE ISLAND REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY

MEETINGS

Regular meetings of the membership of the Rhode Island Republican Assembly are usually held on the second Thursday of every month, unless previously indicated. All Rhode Island Republicans of good will are invited to attend our general meetings. Only RIRA members in good standing may make motions or vote on contested issues or endorsements. We highly encourage regular meeting attendees to become paid members. Standard individual membership dues are only $25.00 per calendar year. Discounts are available for couples and college students. Please note that our Board of Directors' meetings are not open to the public. Unless previously indicated, they are open to RIRA members in good standing only.

Our parent organization, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, holds two national Board of Directors' Meetings per year. Three representatives (President, National Committeeman, and National Committeewoman) from each of the NFRA state chapters across America are eligible to vote at these semi-annual meetings of the national Board of Directors, though all NFRA members in good standing are invited and encouraged to attend.

The next Board of Director's meeting of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies will be held February 16 - 18, 2007, at the Capitol Place Hotel in Austin, Texas, in conjunction with the Texas Conservative Conference, hosted by the Texas Republican Assembly. For registration information, please refer to the NFRA website.

The summer Board of Director's meeting of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies was recently held right here in Rhode Island. The NFRA Board Meeting and Northeast Conservative Conference was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island, from July 21 to 23, 2006.We were able to provide many opportunities for grassroots Republicans to interact with members of our national board and to learn more about how the state and local Republican Assemblies ® work within the framework of the Republican Party. Conference attendees had the opportunity to hear from a great selection of speakers -- including United States Senator Dr. Tom Coburn (R-OK), US Senate Candidate Stephen Laffey (R-RI), Rhode Island Right-to-Life Committee Executive Director Rita Parquette, and Susette Kelo (lead plaintiff in the landmark Kelo vs. City of New London Supreme Court eminent domain decision), and many other great speakers. It was a great event!

On behalf of the members of the Rhode Island Republican Assembly, thank you for your interest in our grassroots organization of conservative Republican activists. We want to make a lasting difference in Rhode Island. Do you? We hope to see you at our next meeting. If you have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact us at mail@ri-ra.org or write to us at the address below. Thank you. May God Always Bless America!
